GOLF IN TRNC

There are two golf courses in Northern Cyprus; the CMC Golf Club at Lefke with a par 36 course for 9 holes. In places, greens are replaced with browns and putting takes place on browns (a mixture of sand and oil that provides a good surface for putting). The course is open every day with nominal green fees and golf clubs available for hire. Dress is of a casual nature, although jeans and T-shirts are not permitted whilst on the course and you will need special shoes to protect the grass.

At the other end of the spectrum, the Korineum Golf and Country Club near the village of Esentepe is an 18-hole golf course to international standards. Boasting a selection of lush greens and fairways, sand bunkers and water hazards, the course is 6,600 yards-long and will test the skills of the most competent golfer during the 300 days of sunshine that Cyprus enjoys.
